File Format and Names

File Format (The type of document)
     I accept the following file formats (no others): .doc, .docx, .rtf
     I have experienced trouble with the .odf and .odt format, so please do not submit them.
     Assignments in other formats are not accepted; they will receive no credit. Please review the playlist of videos on Microsoft Word for help with formatting documents and saving.

File Names (What you type in when you save your assignment)
     Your submitted files must be named very specifically using the following format:

• Responses: (ID)_(Handle)_R(response #)_(Code)  = 
• 107_Sam_R10_W425.rtf
• Essays: (ID)_(Handle)_(Assignment Letter) = 
• 103_Sam_B.docx
• Response Advancement: (ID)_(Handle)_RA(response #) = 
• 112_Sam_RA7.doc

ID: A unique number you will receive after registration, used to identify who wrote the assignment.
Handle: Each class has a nickname, which will be sent to you after completing registration.
Assignment: Each assignment has a number (responses) or letter (essays) found on the assignment sheet.
Code: (Responses only) Each response has a unique code found on a label handed out in class the day the response is assigned. If you do not include your code number, your response is not accepted.

• Warning!: If you have the same code number as someone else in class, both of your responses will be Voided for academic misconduct.

Assignment Formats

     All assignments must adhere to proper academic formats. These formats are in handouts provided for the course as well as available through the Googledocs folder. Furthermore, you will find examples of formats posted on the blog via the links at the bottom of this post. To execute the formatting, use your word processor. You can start by viewing these videos on Microsoft Word.
     All academic format follows the same general guidelines:

• Double-spaced lines
• 1 inch margins on all sides
• Times New Roman 12 pt font
• First-line indented paragraphs (1 tab, which is .5 inches)
• Separate paragraphs for each idea (1 paragraph assignments for essays NOT accepted)
• No skipped lines, or added spaces, between paragraphs (MS Word users)

     Do not include any of the following:

• Larger or smaller fonts
• Different fonts
• Watermarks
• Graphics

     Please remember that your assignment can be penalized or rejected for failing to adhere to formatting. make sure to get it right. Examples of format can be found below.
